Education
Education is a journey. When a young person embraces it, a long and prosperous life is usually the outcome.
About COHYPOA
A change of heart, practiced in public.
We are a Pompano Beach 501(c)(3) that puts free, skill-building camps in the hands of Broward County youth — and asks the neighborhood to help keep every seat open.
Mission and vision
Mission & vision
Our mission is to ignite the potential of every young individual and shape their future through immersive, skill-building experiences. We envision a world where every youth is equipped with confidence, leadership, and a passion for learning — ready for a landscape that will not sit still.
Change of Heart empowers the next generation of world leaders through camps in technology, leadership, wellness, and essential life skills — financial literacy, culinary arts, home engineering — in a supportive, inclusive room. This site is the gateway: youth find a craft, volunteers mentor with purpose, and donors fuel growth you can point to.
Live. Love. Laugh. Learn. Leap.
How we show up
How we show up
Determination
We challenge participants to push past difficult life experiences, reach their goals, and rise above their circumstances.
Balance
We protect 1–2 hours a day away from screens so youth can reconnect with nature and enjoy cool indoor and outdoor activity.
Built with the people we serve
Community engagement
Built with the people we serve.
COHYPOA, Inc. embodies a culture of strategic, collaborative community engagement — mutual benefit for the organization and the diverse communities it serves. We work in District 5 neighborhoods including Collier City, Hunter’s Manors, and Pompano Beach Highlands, and we keep programs in public places families already trust.
The Daniel family has steered this work from Pompano Beach since2018. Camps run because neighbors — from library staff to local businesses — keep showing up.
